How do members join the app? +

Your church admin will receive a unique invite link or code during onboarding. Members download the app and use that code to join your congregation's dedicated space.

Is member data kept private? +

Yes. Each church has its own isolated data environment using Row-Level Security. Your congregation's data is never shared with or visible to other churches on the platform.

How do I upload a sermon? +

Admins can upload sermons from the web dashboard. You can provide a direct audio/video file or a streaming link. Add a title, date, series, and description — then publish.

Can members opt out of the directory? +

Absolutely. The directory is opt-in only. Members control what information is visible to others in their congregation. Privacy settings are managed from within the app.

What devices does the app support? +

The Church App is built with Expo / React Native and supports both iOS and Android devices. The admin dashboard is web-based and works in any modern browser.

How do I reset a member's account? +

Admins can trigger a password reset for any member from the admin dashboard under Member Management. The member will receive an email with a reset link.

Can I customize the app with our church branding? +

Yes — the Community tier includes custom branding. Your church name, logo, and primary colors can be configured during onboarding. Reach out to discuss your options.

How do I manage volunteers? +

From the Volunteer section in the admin dashboard, you can create ministry teams, set up recurring schedules, and send notifications to volunteers directly through the app.

Common Issues

Login
Can't Sign In
  • Double-check your email address and password.
  • Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen.
  • Confirm you're using the church invite code for your specific congregation.
  • Contact your church admin to verify your account is active.
Sermons
Sermon Won't Play
  • Check your internet connection — sermons stream in real time.
  • Close and reopen the app, then try again.
  • Ensure your device OS is up to date.
  • Report the specific sermon title to support if the issue persists.
Notifications
Not Receiving Alerts
  • Check your phone's notification permissions for the Church App.
  • In the app settings, verify notifications are enabled for the channels you want.
  • If on iOS, ensure Do Not Disturb is not blocking the app.
  • Log out and back in to refresh your notification subscription.

Can't Access Admin Panel
  • Confirm your account has been granted admin or leadership role by the primary admin.
  • Clear your browser cache and try logging in again.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  • Email support with your church name and account email for role verification.
